Moldova will host the MITP Awards 2025 to evaluate and recognize the most valuable products, services, and digital initiatives in the IT sector
The competition, organized by Moldova Innovation Technology Park (MITP), aims to bring innovation to the forefront and ensure international recognition for bold ideas that shape the country's digital future. As noted in the MITP announcement, following a successful first edition in 2023, launched under the title Moldova Innovation Awards, the competition returns in 2025 with a consolidated identity and a clear mission: to turn local tech talent and solutions into benchmarks at the regional and international levels. "We know that somewhere in your offices, bold ideas, norm-defying products, and solutions capable of transforming industries are being born. Moldovan companies are no longer just promises. They are already delivering technologies used globally, in the most prestigious markets and by industry giants. The MITP Awards are more than a competition; they are recognition of this impressive journey and an invitation to a new generation of innovators to step out of the shadows and onto the stage they deserve," said Marina Bzovîi , administrator of Moldova Innovation Technology Park. According to her, all interested parties can apply at awards.mitp.md, selecting one or more of the five categories of the competition: Best Innovative Product; Best Innovative Service; Best Startup; Impact Initiative of the Year; Special Jury Prize. The competition is open to all IT, digital, and creative companies operating in Moldova, whether they are MITP residents, start-ups just starting out, or established players in the industry. The competition will run from June 17 to December 5 and includes five stages: application submission (June 17–August 31); confirmation (June 17–September 10); preliminary selection by the jury (September 15–30); announcement of three finalists in each category for Pitch Demo Day (by October 15); MITP awards gala (December 5). Verified applications will be evaluated by an international jury consisting of at least five local and international experts, including representatives of the Diaspora—investors, entrepreneurs, business leaders, innovators, or mentors from global technology ecosystems. Each application will be reviewed for originality, impact, scalability, and international potential. In the final stage, the three best finalists in each category will have the opportunity to present their ideas to the jury during Pitch Demo Day, and the winners will be announced and honored at the MITP Awards Gala on December 5, which will take place at maib park. Maib is a leader in Moldova's banking industry and an active supporter of digital transformation; it is the general partner of this competition. “At maib, we know what it means to develop digital solutions that simplify everyday life, which is why we support the MITP Awards, an initiative that recognizes local innovation and innovators who develop smart and effective solutions,” said maib Chairman of the Board Giorgi Shagidze. According to him, the bank is constantly investing in digitalization and actively cooperating with the technology ecosystem to support the development of an innovative, smart, and future-oriented economy. “We believe that Moldova has the potential to become a regional innovation hub, and we are determined to contribute to this process not only as a financial institution but also as a strategic partner for those who are building the future,” he emphasized. "The MITP Awards are a place where your innovations can be recognized, supported, and promoted. They are a launch pad for ambitious ideas, a bridge to strategic partners, and a stage for leaders transforming Moldova through technology. As you are part of Moldova's digital future, we look forward to hearing your stories of impact, bold products, and ideas that will change the world. Apply now and write the next chapter in Moldova's technology history," concluded Marina Bzovîi. The competition, organized for the first time in Moldova in 2023, highlighted the outstanding achievements of the local digital industry. At the first competition, Salt Edge received the award for “Best Innovative Product,” while Omnis was awarded “Best Innovative Service.” Fagura was recognized as the impact initiative of the year, and Bloomcoding was named Rising Startup. A special jury prize was awarded to Fusion Works. These results confirmed the high potential of the digital industry in Moldova. // 30.06.2025 — InfoMarket
