In Moldova, a record 3.2 billion lei will be allocated for the restoration, reconstruction and maintenance of roads and bridges in 2025 – Cabinet of Ministers
This was reported by the government's press service, noting that this is the largest amount ever allocated in Moldova in 1 year for road infrastructure. At the same time, a total of more than 570 mayors submitted projects to the government to receive funding for the repair of local roads. As noted, on June 26, Prime Minister Dorin Recean inspected the repair work on the regional road G68: R20-Orhei-Susleni-Ustie-Criuleni. The work was carried out on a section of almost 5 km, between the villages of Susleni and Viscauti, and they are almost complete. The head of the Cabinet appreciated the fact that the work was completed 5 months earlier than expected, and the residents of Orhei will receive a quality road to the Dniester after many years of waiting. Previously, this section of the road was made of gravel, which significantly complicated access to the two villages, and now the road has been completely rebuilt. The cost of the project was about 18.8 million lei, the money was provided by the government through the Road Fund. Dorin Recean noted that the government is repairing roads throughout the country. "Over the past 4 years, we have commissioned 3 times more kilometers of roads than in the previous 10 years. In Orhei, over the past 4 years, we have built almost 90 km of roads," the Prime Minister said. According to him, this year, sections of regional roads G43: R20-Gorodiste-Lalovo-Izvoare-Chiperceni-R20 and G68: R20-Orhei-Susleni-Ustie-Criuleni will also be repaired. "Good roads are essential for business, so they remain a priority.
