Entrepreneurship Week is being held in Moldova from June 23 to 27
The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization and the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) announced the week of information about key economic sectors and entrepreneurs who shape the future. During the week, the agencies will talk about the "green" economy, innovations and technologies, women in business, entrepreneurial success stories, support opportunities and events dedicated to business development. The Ministry notes that over the past 4 years, more than 4.7 thousand entrepreneurs in Moldova have received direct government support through ODA programs implemented with the support of the EU. Companies received grants or access to loans under state guarantees. Within the framework of the state aid mechanism for strategic investments, 6 agreements were signed with large companies in Moldova. The total investment volume exceeded 678 million lei, of which state support is more than 378 million lei, including 25% in the form of grants and 75% in the form of tax incentives. These new projects will create at least 489 jobs and make an important contribution to regional economic development, stimulating industry and strengthening national production potential. At the same time, it is noted that support for entrepreneurship in Moldova continues. A new startup financing program is planned to be launched in the coming month, compensation for electricity is provided until the end of 2025, interaction with government agencies is simplified through the EVO digital platform for quick access to key services. Entrepreneur's Day is celebrated in Moldova on June 27. The holiday was established and celebrated for the first time in 2024.
