
Moldova and France signed 3 agreements in Paris
The documents were signed in the presence of Presidents of the two countries, Maia Sandu and Emmanuel Macron. According to the press service of the Moldovan head of state, the agreement on social protection signed by the parties guarantees clear rights to Moldovan citizens working and living in France, facilitating access to pensions, social and medical services and ensuring greater security for the Moldovan Diaspora. A financing agreement with the French Development Agency (AFD) provides €30 million in assistance to improve energy efficiency in public buildings, which will help reduce energy consumption and bills. At the same time, a strategic partnership agreement on combating disinformation between the Moldovan Centre for Strategic Communications and Countering Disinformation and the French agency VIGINUM is aimed at supporting the protection of Moldova's information space and countering external manipulation. Moldovan and French Presidents Maia Sandu and Emmanuel Macron discussed peace in Europe, Moldova's accession to the European Union and Moldovan-French projects. The meeting at the Elysee Palace confirmed France's firm support for Moldova's security, its European course and the development projects implemented with French assistance and directly benefiting the citizens. “In these difficult times, France is by our side, supporting us in defending our peace, strengthening our security and bringing us closer to the European Union. We share the vision of a united and strong Europe, where every country is free to decide its future,” said Maia Sandu.
