
Amendments have been introduced to the Law on Moldova's state budget for 2025, entailing an increase in the revenue and expenditure parts by 1 billion 735.6 million lei
In particular, revenues will increase by 1 billion 735.6 million lei (+2.4%), from 71 billion 553.9 million lei to 73 billion 289.5 million lei, while the expenditures will also increase by 1 billion 735.6 million lei (+2%), from 85 billion 447.9 million lei to 87 billion 183.5 million lei. The decision to increase the state budget's revenue and expenditure parts was adopted by the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE) in order to increase the size of the Energy Vulnerability Reduction Fund to pay compensations in cash and subsidize Energocom in order to enable natural gas and electricity purchases, respectively, from grants for energy vulnerability reduction measures worth about 59.5 million euros (1 billion 150.6 million lei) and a grant from the European Commission worth 30 million euros (585 million lei). As a result, the size of the Energy Vulnerability Reduction Fund is increased by 1 billion 150.6 million lei (+75.5 per cent), from 1 billion 524 million 402.8 thousand lei to 2 billion 675 million 002.8 thousand lei.
