This was announced by the government press secretary, noting that electricity compensation is provided for all families - from February to December 2025. Daniel Voda recalled that since February, the Moldovan government has been covering the increase in the electricity tariff for the first 110 kWh of consumption. Compensation is available to all families without the need to register in the system. This assistance program will last 11 months with financial support from the European Union. The government press secretary noted that compensation for January for electricity has already been paid. In total, more than 750 thousand households have received assistance to pay their electricity and heating bills. Bank card holders have been notified, the rest can pick up the funds at the post office. Daniel Voda pointed to a record budget for energy support – 1.5 billion lei allocated for the period from November 2024 to January 2025.
