This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Dumitru Alaiba after his meeting at the World Economic Forum in Davos with the Vice-Chancellor of Germany, Minister of Economy and Climate Robert Habeck. He noted that among the main topics discussed were the agenda of economic reforms in Moldova and attracting new investments. Dumitru Alaiba emphasized that Moldova is in the process of complete transformation and demonstrates its ability to become an attractive place for business and investment. According to him, today there are 426 companies with German capital in Moldova, and this figure shows Germany's confidence in our potential. "But our goals are higher! As for trade, in 2023 Germany became Moldova's 5th trading partner with a trade volume of $839.2 million, which is 3.7% more than in 2022. But we want these figures to be just the beginning! We will continue to work to attract more investment, create more jobs and more opportunities for our citizens. Germany is more than a business partner, it is a reliable friend of Moldova, which supports us in the modernization of the economy and our European integration," the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization emphasized.// 23.01.2025 — InfoMarket.
