Moldova's investment opportunities presented to Swiss businessmen at the World Economic Forum in Davos

The discussions focused on the free trade agreement between Moldova and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries and how it can facilitate trade and diversify markets for Moldovan products. At the same time, investment opportunities in Moldova were presented. Prime Minister referred to Moldova's economic agenda, emphasizing the advantages that Moldova offers to foreign investors. Dorin Recean mentioned the Information Technologies and digital economy as a priority area of interest for the Moldovan-Swiss cooperation, noting the favorable conditions of activity within the Moldova IT Park. At present, 116 companies with Swiss capital operate in Moldova. Switzerland ranks 11th among the main investors in Moldova. Investments are made in such fields as glass production, electrical equipment, pharmaceuticals, fruit and vegetable processing, cultivation of plants for aromatic oils and others. This year's World Economic Forum in Davos is held under the slogan “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age”.
