
A call for grants has been announced in Moldova for about 185 more companies under 2 ODA support programs for a total amount of over 71 million lei
Economic Development and Digitalization Minister Dumitru Alaiba announced this, noting that, in particular, they will benefit from grant financial assistance within the Small Producers Support Program, meant for those who want to launch or develop businesses in the manufacturing industry, as well as the Support Program for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises in the Tourism Sector. The total allocated budget for the first program amounts to 60 million lei for the next 3 years, while the second one - more than 11 million lei. Dumitru Alaiba urged the entrepreneurs to apply for these programs, stressing that these financial resources will help them to grow and develop. Part of these funds is provided by the European Union. “In the future, this support may increase or decrease. It also depends on the direction citizens choose on November 3!” he noted. As reported by the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), among others, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, it has started the acceptance of applications for the mentioned grant programs. The grant financing within the Small Producers Support Program, approved by the Moldovan government, can be obtained by small producers who want to launch or develop a business in Moldova's manufacturing sectors. The aim of the program is to increase the number of small producers, stimulate productivity and increase sales. The grants can cover up to 70% of the investment project cost and reach 500 thousand lei per 1 beneficiary. The total budget allocated for this program is 60 million lei; it is financed from the state budget. The implementation period of the program is 3 years. It is designed to support more than 100 companies. The total budget allocated for 2024 is 4.3 million lei. At the same time, the Support Program for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises in the Tourism Sector is intended for entrepreneurs working in tourism and related fields and aims at strengthening the SME ecosystem by stimulating the creation of new enterprises, increasing revenues and developing exports of tourism products and services specific to Moldova. The grants can cover up to 70% of the investment project cost and up to 500 thousand lei per 1 beneficiary.
