The total volume of investments of industrial parks in Moldova since the beginning of their activities amounted to 4.1 billion lei, and the volume of industrial production exceeded 34.1 billion lei
At the same time, the amount of attracted investments within 1 year ranged from 30.5 million lei in 2013 to a maximum of 708.3 million lei in 2017. In 2023, for example, the amount of attracted investments was 194.5 million lei, which is 3.6 times less than in the previous year. Such data is contained in the report of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization. In general, in 2013-2023 the volume of investments in industrial parks increased from 30.5 million to 4.1 billion lei (135 times). However, it is noted that, despite the annual growth of investments, the potential of industrial parks has not been fully exploited - almost 21% lower than the volume of investments estimated in feasibility studies. About 46% of investments were made by the Tracom industrial park, which confirms the general trend of concentration of economic activity in Chisinau. In 2nd place was the industrial park Trivineta Cavi Development - 19%, in 3rd place - the industrial park in Edinet - 16%, in 4th place - Răut -13%, the remaining industrial parks accounted for 6.4% of all investments. Herewith, 89% of attracted investments in 2023 fell on the Tracom industrial park. Since the beginning of their activities, industrial parks have produced and sold products worth 34.1 billion lei. Meanwhile, a record volume of production and sales was registered in 2023: industrial parks produced products worth 7.3 billion lei (+5.5% compared to 2022). About 90.5% of production was provided by Tracom. At the end of 2023, 118 residents worked in 10 industrial parks in Moldova. The total number of jobs created at the end of 2023 was 3506 people - almost 696 people (16.6%) less than in the previous year (4202 people). Thus, a record for the number of jobs in industrial parks was registered in 2019 - 4268. The most jobs are in the Tracom industrial park - 67% of the total (2332), followed by the Răut industrial park - 26% (903) and the industrial park in Edinet - 6% (227). The remaining industrial parks employ 1% of employees (44 people). Last year, industrial parks also registered a record amount of tax contributions to the budget - almost 1.3 billion lei (2.3% of all tax contributions in the country).
