
The Government of Moldova will allocate grants totaling 11.3 million lei to 42 more companies to support innovation and green their businesses
This was reported by the Organization for Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA), noting that the heads of 42 companies signed financing agreements with ODA to receive grants from the Government of Moldova. The total amount of gratuitous financing allocated to them is 11.3 million lei, and the total cost of investments in the economy will exceed 21.3 million lei. Economic agents will have access to grants to equip companies with high-performance equipment to optimize processes, as well as to green their businesses through the purchase of wastewater treatment plants. Companies will also invest in the implementation of services and software solutions to optimize management and production processes. The 42 companies selected to receive grants range from food and toy manufacturing to accommodation and catering services, architecture and accounting, grain and livestock farming. Grants are provided under the Start for Youth program, the Women's Entrepreneurship Support Program, the PARE 1+2 Remittances Program, the Digital Transformation Program for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), the SME Export Competitiveness and Internationalization Program and the Greening Program for small and medium enterprises. Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Dumitru Alaiba noted the government’s steps to support the national economy through a number of strategic initiatives. He also emphasized the importance of supporting young entrepreneurs who are the engine of innovation and economic development, and also emphasized the importance of supporting the diaspora in starting and growing businesses. “Today we are helping 42 more companies grow their businesses, expand and improve their capabilities to produce more, faster. Our main goals are the elimination of bureaucracy, digitalization, and supporting entrepreneurs, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, by providing them with financing and new points of sale. We want to have a growing economy, and to achieve this we need your business to grow and develop. We have a common interest, and we are together with you in this process,” said Dumitru Alaiba. Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Organization Vadim Codreanu noted the importance of supporting entrepreneurs and emphasized the role of innovation and sustainability in business development. “Access to these grants is an important step for the development and modernization of companies in various sectors of the economy. Through the support we provide, we want to encourage innovation, promote sustainable practices and increase competitiveness in the domestic and international market. Entrepreneurs should see these opportunities as an incentive to invest in technology, greening and process efficiency, thereby ensuring sustainable growth of their business,” said Vadim Codreanu. It should be noted that, according to the Entrepreneurship Development Organization, since the beginning of this year, a total of 297 companies have received grants under various entrepreneurship support programs.
