By the end of 2024, a major Romanian manufacturer, Belco Avia, will launch industrial production on the territory in Valkanes FEZ.
Administrator of the Valkanes Free Economic Zone (FEZ) Mihail Shalvir told InfoMarket agency that the investor is now completing the construction of a 900-square-meter production hall and is expected to launch production in the third quarter. The FEZ Administrator noted that the launch of this production has been prepared for 4 years, but due to regional crises and challenges, the start of construction was postponed, the project was modified, including the reduction of the workshop area and its location. "Belco Avia, whose main production is located in the town of Bistrita Nasaud in Romania, planned to invest 300 thousand euros, create 50 jobs and sell products worth 1 million euros in the first year of operation. The main products, according to the project, are the production of parts for the automotive industry from composite material. But since Belco Avia itself has several production lines, it is possible that the main type of products could still change. In Romania, where the main production facilities of Belco Avia are located, the company is engaged in the production of carbon fiber, Kevlar and glass fiber parts for the automotive and railway industry, motor transport and sports sector, and the company will transfer one of the production directions to Moldova", Mihail Shalvir explained. According to him, the new investor will contribute to the creation of high-paid jobs in the south of Moldova and to the training of specialists, as well as to the launch of new production technologies in Moldova. The project will be realized through a resident of the Vulcanesti FEZ - Automline company (registered in Moldova in 2022, its owner is Vicentiu-Gabriel Blanaru, administrator - Oleg Rogojinaru). It is worth mentioning that at the beginning of 2024, 31 residents were registered in the Vulcanesti Free Economic Zone, the number of jobs exceeded 820 and the average salary reached 9900 lei. Last year, the residents paid taxes of 32 million lei to the budgets of all levels. Among the new investors, for example, is the German company Beurer, which produces medical and health and beauty products - heating mats for kidneys, feet, etc. Last year, the Vulcanesti FEZ attracted new investments worth $7.17 million, while the total volume of investments since the beginning of its activity amounted to almost $33.2 million. Valkanes FEZ was created in 1998 for a period of 37 years. It covers 5 sub-zones with an area of 200 hectares - two in Vulcanesti, two in Comrat and one in Ceadir-Lunga. // 20.05.2024 - InfoMarket
