This is stipulated by a relevant amendment to the Law on the Application of International Restrictive Measures, introduced by the chairman of the commission for economy, budget and finance, Radu Marian. Parliament passed this document in the second reading. Thus, the Chisinau airport is included in the list of non-privatizable assets, in line with the provisions of the law on the mechanism of verification of investments important for the state security. At the same time, the runways, taxiways and landing and disembarkation areas, aircraft parking lots and other airport infrastructure facilities, as well as the lands on which they are located, are considered public assets of the state. The amendment also stipulates that the Public Property Agency, as a founder, will be able to solve the difficulties encountered in the process of holding tenders for the lease of trade areas for catering and specialized trade for the sterile zone, Duty Free zone in the premises of the Chisinau airport. The draft amendments to the Law on the Application of International Restrictive Measures, passed by the Parliament, contain a number of provisions to ensure the effective and exhaustive application of international restrictive measures. The document contains certain information on the categories of persons to be included in the list of persons related to the subject of restriction. The authors also included the State Tax Service and the Public Services Agency in the list of bodies to which the Intelligence and Security Service (SIS) will send an order to approve or amend the list of persons associated with the subjects of international restrictions.
