The government is creating a platform for managing digital documents (Mdocs).
At a meeting on Wednesday, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the concept of an information system on which all documents submitted in real time during the implementation of administrative activities, including the provision of public services, will be centrally stored. The platform will allow storing all documents in a standardized form, improving the provision of public services, gradually reducing the use of paper documentation. The Mdoc platform will provide fast document management and will be available to both citizens and public and private organizations. The purpose of creating the MDocs platform is to reduce bureaucracy, as well as the risk of unauthorized access to data in documents, and improve electronic document flow between government agencies and authorities. The MDocs platform will be integrated into version II of the EVO application. The development and support of the platform will require about 6 million lei during the first year, which will be allocated through the “Modernization of Government Services” project. The annual cost of maintaining the system will be about 1 million lei. // 24.04.2024 — InfoMarket.
