Government to offer for privatization the Chisinau glass factory, the Zarea hotel, state stakes in Moldindconbank and other objects.

This is stipulated by a draft government decision on expanding the list of state property objects subject to privatization. In particular, this list is proposed to be supplemented with 46 entities. Among them are 4 state-owned enterprises: Chisinau glass factory, the Zarea hotel, the publishing and printing enterprise "Stiinta" and the state publishing house "Lumina". Also subject to privatization will be 2 minority stakes in the insurance company Auto-Siguranța (0.5%) and stakes in Moldindconbank (0.017%) and the printing house Metrompas (11%). The list of objects to be privatized will include 33 property complexes: 2 located in Stefan Voda and Cantemir (at the request of the State Inspectorate for Emergency Situations), a property complex in Băcioi commune, managed by MoldATSA, as well as 30 property complexes managed by the National Agency for Food Safety. Also subject to privatization are: a garage in Causeni, a building in Rezina, 2 building plots in Ungheni and in Chisinau, as well as 2 shares in residential premises in Chisinau, which were transferred to the state on the basis of the Regulation on the procedure of accounting, evaluation and realization of confiscated, ownerless property, seized perishable or limited shelf life products, material evidence, property transferred by right of inheritance to the state, and treasures. In order to meet the budgetary objective of privatization for 2024 (the privatization revenues are planned at 710 million lei), the decision is proposed to be enforced after its publication in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova). The draft has been published on the website of the Public Property Agencies and has been submitted to public consultations, to be approved by the government. // 01.04.2024 - InfoMarket
