Tariffs for gas supplied to household consumers by Moldovagaz are scheduled to be reduced by 19.9% - from 18.07 to 14.47 lei per 1 cubic meter including VAT.
This follows from the draft resolution published by the National Agency for Energy Regulation on the approval of regulated prices for natural gas supplied by the Moldovagaz company. In particular, as expected, at points of exit from high-pressure gas distribution networks, the new gas tariff will be 9,129 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters without VAT (-33.2%), average pressure – 10,076 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters (-29.9%), and in the case of low-pressure networks, to which all household and some non-domestic consumers are connected – 13,398 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters (-19.9%). At the same time, taking into account VAT, the gas tariff for households and other consumers receiving gas through low-pressure networks will decrease by 19.9% - from 18.07 to 14.47 lei per 1 cubic meter. As reported by NAER, the energy regulator plans to approve new regulated prices and tariffs for the supply and distribution of natural gas on February 21, and they will come into force after publication in the Monitorul Oficial. NAER clarified that in addition to the request for approval of regulated prices for natural gas received from Moldovagaz, the agency is also considering requests for approval of tariffs for 12 operators of the natural gas distribution system. Given that the distribution service is an important component in the structure of regulated prices for the supply of natural gas, it was necessary to carefully analyze all applications in the correct sequence to avoid the subsequent occurrence of financial deviations. The draft new prices and regulated tariffs for the supply and distribution of natural gas will be considered on Wednesday, February 21. Previously, the Moldovagaz company proposed to NAER to reduce tariffs for gas supplies, developing different scenarios for the application of tariffs, taking into account different dates of their introduction. The main factors that determined the need to revise tariffs were a significant reduction in purchase prices for natural gas on the Dutch spot TTF, as well as a significant reduction in the adjusting component of the supplier’s regulated income (tariff deviations) for 2023. // 19.02.2024 - InfoMarket.
