Enterprises with energy-intensive production processes (electric furnaces, electric arc welding machines, electric smelters) were instructed to organize work schedules in such a way that processes that use a larger amount of electricity are carried out outside the time interval between 07:00-11:00 and 18:00- 23:00. Water and wastewater utility managers needed to regulate reservoir pump operation to minimize power consumption between 07:00 and 11:00 and 18:00 and 23:00 and maximize the potential of reservoirs. Central and local public authorities were tasked with assessing the possibilities and taking the necessary measures to reduce electricity consumption, especially during peak hours (07:00-11:00 and 18:00-23:00), but without compromising the safety and health of citizens or activities basic services; make efforts to replace incandescent lamps with LED lamps; ensure the cessation of street lighting during the daytime (from 07:00 to 17:00 hours).
