
Parliament rejected the opposition-initiated vote of no confidence in the government.
The vote was held at 02:08 Friday after 10 hours of presenting the achievements of the government and individual ministries over the past 2 years, as well as debates on these and other issues. At Thursday's plenary session, Prime Minister Dorin Recean presented a report on the government's actions in various fields, spoke about the changes taking place and answered the opposition's criticism. Then, the Cabinet members addressed the MPs, presenting the work of the institutions and sharing their vision of the future of our country. Detailed information was presented on the government's activity in such key fields as economy, infrastructure, health, education, social sphere, internal affairs, defense, foreign affairs and European integration, energy, justice, agriculture, public finances, reintegration and culture. Concrete solutions were proposed, based on analysis and data, and taking into account the complex realities in our country. It was emphasized that all the actions are aimed at building a European Moldova. The MPs asked various questions about the government's activity and assessed its performance. As a result, 16 opposition MPs voted for a vote of no confidence in the government's activity. The vote of no confidence in the government's activity was initiated by 26 MPs from the Bloc of Communists and Socialists parliamentary faction and was introduced at the plenary session of the parliament on October 5.
