As follows from the data of the National Agency for Energy Regulation, at the same time, in value terms, the volume of gas purchases in January-June 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, decreased by 12.7% - from 7 billion 459.1 million lei to 6 billion 511.4 million lei. Herewith, the average purchase price of gas in lei terms increased over the year by 48.3% - from 12334 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters in the first half of 2022 to 18297 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters in the first half of 2023. According to NAER, in January-June 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, the volume of gas supplies to the country's end consumers in physical terms decreased by 42.8% - to 341.74 cubic meters, and in value terms increased by 4.8% - from 8 billion 494.2 million to 8 billion 905.4 million lei. The average price for natural gas supplies in the first half of 2023 was 26059 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters against 14220 lei for the same period a year earlier. According to NAER, in particular, household consumers in the first half of 2023 received 170 million 068 thousand cubic meters of gas, and non-domestic - 171 million 672 thousand cubic meters. Meanwhile, energy sector enterprises in January-June 2023 used 93 million 233 thousand cubic meters of gas, industrial enterprises - 8 million 190 thousand cubic meters, budgetary institutions - 22 million 458 thousand cubic meters, and other consumers - 47 million 791 thousand cubic meters. According to NAER, in January-June 2023, the state company Energocom imported 90.3% of the total volumes of required natural gas. This is followed by Transautogaz with a share of 4.5% of total imports, Rotalin Gaz Trading - 1.8%, Natural Gaz DC - 1.4% and others - 2%. At the same time, the leader in gas supplies to end consumers was the Moldovagaz company with a share of 93.4% of the total volume, followed by Rotalin Gaz Trading - 1.7%. The total market share of other natural gas suppliers was 4.9%. At the end of June this year in Moldova there were 2 gas transportation license holders, 20 gas distribution license holders, 25 natural gas supply license holders, including 5 suppliers who were obliged to provide a public service.
