Speaking at the opening of the Moldova Digital Summit-2023, the Prime Minister of Moldova said that digitalization is already actively taking place: in recent years, Moldova has made significant progress in this, and digitalization provides transformations and brings new opportunities for the country's society and economy. At the same time, the prime minister stressed the importance of reviewing all processes in terms of digitalization - in government, in business, in the relationship between G2B and G2C. According to him, the main thing is that digitalization works for citizens and businesses, so the focus should be on consumers. For example, he noted that in Moldova an electronic account has been created for every citizen, it is available on the MCabinet platform, but this platform is not in demand enough, because users prefer to work from the phone. Therefore, the MCabinet mobile application was developed and will be presented. The Prime Minister also stressed that digitalization should create opportunities and significantly reduce the cost of transactions. “Everything that can be digitized should be digitized. It does not matter where a person is located - in one of the Moldovan wineries, or in Silicon Valley, but if he wants to open a company in Moldova, we must give him the opportunity to do so immediately. Payments, documents, interaction - everything should be in a digital format,” said Dorin Recean, emphasizing that the value of real, physical interaction of citizens is not canceled with the development of digital opportunities. In his speech, the Prime Minister noted that digitalization remains a priority for the Moldovan authorities. It means more transparency, a safe environment, opportunities for the formation and use of Big data and artificial intelligence.
