
Moldova will receive a grant of 40 million euros from the European Union as part of the "EU for Sustainability and Governance" program.
This is stipulated in the financing agreement signed between Moldova and the European Commission, which was signed on May 11 and ratified by the Moldovan Parliament on June 15. The agreement stipulates grant assistance of 40 million euros from the European Commission to strengthen the sustainability of the state and society, socio-economic recovery, with particular emphasis on good governance, stability and peace, as well as providing all opportunities conducive to inclusiveness. The agreement aims to support human capital development and promote equality of rights, to contribute to national stability and territorial integration, to consolidate Moldova's social and institutional capital, to promote regional security, to ensure the resilience of agri-food systems to external shocks and crises, etc. The agreement will be implemented with the assistance of institutions selected by the European Commission. The project implementation period is 72 months.
