New activities will appear in the IT-Park, enabling the employees of resident companies to work remotely.
Corresponding amendments to the Law on Information Technology Parks were published in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova) on April 14. The amendments will allow IT- Park residents to work, including employees performing remote work on Moldovan territory and/or abroad. At the same time, new activities oriented towards computer games industry are permitted in the IT-Park - digital color grading and retouching services, as well as sound editing and processing services; activities in the field of sound recording and music recording for computer games. The amendments also clarify a number of procedures related to the reporting of IT-Park and revocation of resident status. Thus, the information from the quarterly and annual reports of the information technology park will not be published on a single government portal of open data, but only on the website of the IT-Park. At the same time any legal person or individual who has applied a special tax regime for the IT-Park for at least one month during a calendar year, must conduct an audit and submit its results. Cancellation of IT-Park resident status at the initiative of the administration will be possible when, following an annual audit by an audit company, it is found that the resident does not meet at least one of the indicators for obtaining and maintaining information and technology park resident status provided by law. // 14.04.2023 – InfoMarket
