The government has prepared for winter and its main goal is to help as many citizens as possible to survive the winter as easy as possible - Andrei Spinu.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development stated this while listing the measures taken by the Cabinet of Ministers on his social network page. He noted that, in particular, there were approved 27 measures for 3 scenarios - in the case of gas supply cuts by 35%, 50% and 100%. "We will all try to save 15% of consumption, as all European countries do. We will offer, as we did last year, help to pay the bills for citizens. We will buy more coal, provide citizens with firewood. The price of wood will remain the same as last year, thanks to Moldsilva government subsidies. We have a reserve of natural gas, which we will use if necessary. The government commission that will oversee the action plan is in place and working. Termoelectrica will switch to alternative fuels (fuel oil), and where possible, we will use coal and wood, will reconnect biomass boilers in state institutions.
