UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi will visit Moldova on March 4-5 and will discuss with the authorities a $1.7 billion emergency international assistance program to address the crisis.

According to the Moldovan government, this will be the first visit to our country by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. The UN staff member will meet in Chisinau with Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu, Interior Minister Ana Revenco, and Minister of Labor and Social Protection Marcel Spatari. The delegation will also visit the sorting center in Palanca to study on the spot the situation with the management of the flow of refugees, the conditions for their accommodation in our country.
