From February 16, differentiated measures to control the spread of COVID-19 will be applied in Moldova, depending on the situation in each region.
This decision was approved by the National Public Health Emergency Commission. In particular, the Commission canceled the coronavirus “red” code introduced since January 20 for the entire territory of the country and returned the rules that were in force since October 1 last year. Epidemiological measures will be applied, depending on the assigned level of danger in the settlement: “green” code (less than 50 cases per 100 thousand population over the past 7 days), “yellow” code (50-99 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants), “orange" code (100-249 per 100 thousand population) and "red" code (more than 250 cases/100 thousand). Thus, the rule in force in the past few weeks on the presentation of a COVID certificate, including at the entrance to businesses selling non-food products, will no longer apply. Restrictions will apply based on the danger threshold, and a COVID-certificate will only be requested for access to certain places, such as catering establishments, certain private or sporting events, cultural institutions or scientific meetings. At the same time, the measure introduced in January that allows adults accompanying children under 14 years of age and caregivers of people with severe disabilities to access medical and accommodation facilities will remain. In order to return to differentiated public health measures, the territorial emergency public health commissions will establish public health measures for each settlement of the administrative-territorial unit within 24 hours. It is worth noting that according to the National Public Health Agency, currently the state of 18 districts of Moldova in terms of the coronavirus incidence over the past 7 days corresponds to the “orange” code, 20 districts, including Chisinau municipality, Balti, ATU Gagauzia and the Transnistrian region – the “red” code. In addition, according to the decision of the commission, during the period of the state of emergency in the field of healthcare, employees in the field of public order and security involved in work in conditions of increased health risk in institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs will receive salary increases. // 15.02.2022 - InfoMarket
