Estonian fintech company IuteCredit acquired another 49.73% stake in Energbank and became its majority shareholder with a total stake of over 59.7% of the shares.

In particular, IuteCredit acquired 994,645 shares (49.73%) of Energbank put up for sale at a price of 170.44 lei per share. The total price of their purchase amounted to about 169 million 527.3 thousand lei (about 8.3 million euros). The transaction of purchase and sale of Energbank's shares was carried out on the Stock Exchange of Moldova on February 10th. Earlier, on January 12, IuteCredit announced the acquisition of 9.976% (199519) shares of Energbank at a price of 170.44 lei per share during a transaction on the Stock Exchange of Moldova, the total amount of the transaction was 1.7 million euros. Thus, in general, IuteCredit now owns over 59.7% of Energbank's shares, which cost the company 10 million euros. Now, by law, IuteCredit must make an offer to all Energbank shareholders who want to sell the shares at the last deal price. The authorized capital of Energbank is 100 million lei and is divided into 2 million shares with a par value of 50 lei. Tarmo Sild, CEO of IuteCredit Europe, co-founder and co-owner of this company, noted earlier that the purchase of 9.976% of Energbank's shares in January was the company's first step towards becoming a bank, and IuteCredit would like to become the majority shareholder of Energbank. Earlier, IuteCredit received approval from the National Bank of Moldova for the purchase of Energbank. IuteCredit, founded in 2008, is Europe's leading personal finance company. The group specializes in consumer loans through its 100% subsidiaries. IuteCredit serves clients in Moldova, Albania, North Macedonia and Bulgaria, as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
