NAER conducts public consultations on fixed tariffs for electricity produced from renewable sources.
They are organized by the National Agency for Energy Regulation to implement the provisions of the Renewable Energy Promotion Act related to support schemes for the promotion of electricity from renewable sources. Fixed tariffs and prices for electricity produced by eligible producers from renewable energy sources were calculated by NAER in accordance with the requirements of the Methodology for determining fixed tariffs and prices for electricity produced by eligible producers from renewable energy sources, approved by NAER by decision dated September 28, 2017. After their approval, they must be applied during the current year in projects for which Eligible Producer status will be confirmed and in possible tenders organized by the government for Eligible Producer status. NAER recalled that in accordance with the government decree on the approval of power limits, maximum power levels and power categories in the field of electricity from renewable sources, valid until December 31, 2025, for the reporting period, NAER must confirm the status of an eligible producer for a total capacity of 235 MW, divided according to the technology of electricity generation as follows: wind turbines - 15 MW (of which 3 MW for installations with a capacity of less than 0.5 MW); solar photovoltaic installations - 70 MW (of which 50 MW for installations mounted on buildings); biogas cogeneration plants – 100 MW; cogeneration plants based on syngas - 15 MW; cogeneration plants using direct combustion - 30 MW; hydraulic installations - 5 MW. Developed by NAER and proposed for public consultations, prices for electricity produced from renewable sources, depending on production technologies, range from 1.19 lei per kWh in the case of hydro installations and 1.37 lei per kWh in the case of biogas-based cogeneration plants from the disposal of municipal solid waste up to 2.14 lei per kWh in the case of cogeneration plants using direct combustion (solid biofuel, agricultural waste, including energy crops/plants, municipal solid waste, excluding forestry products) and 2.01 lei per kWh in the case of cogeneration plants based on biogas (produced by using the energy potential of manure, animal waste, agricultural waste, agricultural crops, energy plants, food industry waste, including their mixtures). The draft tariffs can be found on the NAER website https://www.anre.md/consultari-publice-3-27. NAER accepts proposals on tariffs and objections from interested parties until February 14, 2022. Thematic discussions and presentations of fixed tariffs for solar installations took place on February 8, and on February 9 they will be held for other types of installations. // 08.02.2022 — InfoMarket
