The government has increased the amount of benefits provided during the technical downtime in enterprises.
Also, the government has increased the amount of payments provided on the days of employees’ vaccination and benefits for the period of online training for employees’ children less than 12 years of age. The government approved the relevant resolution at a meeting on Wednesday, increasing the amount of state support for employers and employees in the context of the implementation of restrictive measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, the maximum allowance provided from the state budget to support enterprises in technical downtime has been increased from 150 to 250 lei. Also, the amount of payments to employees who have children under the age of 12 and children with disabilities has been increased from 150 to 250 lei. These employees are provided with free days in case of suspension of the educational process in physical presence. At the same time, the state compensates for 2 free days provided to employees for the administration of each dose of the vaccine, at the rate of 500 lei per day (instead of 450 lei per day, as it is currently provided). The adopted draft also provides for some additions designed to improve the application of mechanisms for the provision of appropriate payments and compensations. These changes are expected to ease the financial burden on employers during the COVID-19 pandemic. For the implementation of these changes, 200 million lei are provided in the 2022-state budget. // 03.02.2022 – InfoMarket
