NAER approved an increase in the tariff for the supply of gas to household consumers by 37.9% - up to 14.06 lei per 1 cubic meter without VAT.

Including VAT, the tariff was increased to 15.18 lei per 1 cubic meter. At the same time, Moldovagaz requested an increase in the tariff by almost 41% - up to 15.59 lei per 1 cubic meter including VAT. It is worth noting that the new tariff, approved by the NAER Administrative Council at today's meeting, will come into force retroactively - from January 1. Herewith, as Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita said earlier, the tariff for the first 150 cubic meters will remain the same, regardless of the decision of the National Agency for Energy Regulation. The authorities will continue to use the mechanism whereby the first 50 cu. m will cost consumers 6.8 lei per 1 cu. m, and the next 100 - 7.9 lei per 1 cu. m. Thus, the first 150 cubic meters will be compensated. At today's meeting, NAER increased the tariff for natural gas at exit points from medium-pressure gas distribution networks by 45% - from 8586 to 12450 lei 1 thousand cubic meters (12827 lei - the request of "Moldovagaz"), and high pressure - by 46.4% - from 8268 to 12132 per 1 thousand cubic meters (12509 lei - the request of "Moldovagaz"). In the case of gas transmission networks at entry points, the tariff is proposed to be increased by 49.4% - from 7,771 to 11,612 lei per 1,000 cubic meters (request "Moldovagaz" - 11,987 lei per 1,000 cubic meters), and at exit points - by 47 .9% - from 8059 to 11919 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters (request "Moldovagaz" - 12296 lei). The main factor that necessitated the revision of tariffs was a significant increase in purchase prices from $430 to $620 per 1,000 cubic meters. In addition, as previously reported, the total amount of negative tariff deviations of Moldovagaz from April to October 2021 amounted to 1 billion 369.2 million lei, and from November 2021 to January 2022 - 1 billion 281.4 million lei. In general, the total amount of deviations is 2 billion 650.6 million lei. According to the law, these tariff deviations must be reimbursed to the enterprise.// 28.01.2022 — InfoMarket
