
The volume of Moldovan exports to Romania for 11 months of 2021 amounted to $751.6 million, an increase of 16.9% compared to the same period in 2020.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the share of supplies of domestic goods to Romania in the total volume of Moldovan exports decreased over the specified period from 28.58% to 26.66%. However, the volume of imports from Romania for 11 months 2021, compared to the same period of the previous year, increased by 32.9% - up to $756.1 million, and its share in total Moldovan imports increased from 11.73% to 11.78%. As a result, the negative trade balance of Moldova with Romania in January-November 2021 amounted to $4.5 million against a positive balance of $74.15 million for the same period a year earlier. Romania following the results of 11 months of 2021 was the largest trading partner of Moldova in terms of exports, purchasing the most Moldovan products in the specified period.
