Public health emergency state has been extended until March 15 in Moldova.
The National Public Health Emergency Commission has adopted this decision, taking into account the current epidemiological situation in the country and the risks of the spread of the omicron coronavirus variant. The Commission made changes to a number of existing rules. So, from January 17, if “yellow” or “orange” coronavirus hazard code is introduced in Chisinau, the access of accompanying persons to the building of the Chisinau airport will be possible only if they have a COVID-certificate, and in case of “red” hazard code, the access of accompanying persons will be prohibited. In communities where the "orange" hazard code has been set, catering establishments will be able to operate at maximum occupancy in open spaces, and in closed spaces - up to 75% of the total number of seats inside, with the obligation of all customers to present a COVID-19 certificate upon entry. In settlements with a "green" and "yellow" hazard code, access to private events (weddings, christenings, festive feasts) with 25 or more guests is allowed only with a COVID-certificate. Group training sessions for professional athletes are allowed in sports centers. From January 17, entry into Moldova is possible upon presentation of one of the following documents: a certificate of a complete vaccination scheme against the coronavirus; a negative result of a PCR test made no more than 72 hours before, or a certified negative result of a rapid test for the COVID-19 antigen, made 48 hours before boarding public transport or entering the territory of Moldova in one's own transport; a medical report on the contracted virus, between the 15th and 180th day (6 months) or a document confirming the presence of antibodies to COVID-19 (valid for 90 days from the date of the investigation). Persons who do not meet these conditions and are not exceptions to these rules are required to observe the self-isolation regime for 14 days by filling out an electronic epidemiological card in advance. The self-isolation regime may be terminated after the 7th day, after a PCR test or a rapid test for COVID-19 and a negative result. The Commission ordered the Ministry of Health to ensure the preparation of all components of the healthcare system for a new wave of coronavirus, update the coronavirus treatment protocol, intensify the vaccination process, and monitor people who are on home treatment or self-isolation. // 14.01.2022 - InfoMarket
