
The external public debt of Moldova in January-November 2021 increased by $ 253.98 million (+ 11.33%), amounting to $ 2 billion 495.4 million at the end of November.
In the last month alone, it grew by $ 200.83 million (+ 8.8%), since at the end of October it amounted to $ 2 billion 294.57 million. As InfoMarket was told by the Ministry of Finance, in total over 11 months of 2021, net external financing had a positive value and amounted to $ 375.7 million, since the volume of new loans received in January-November 2021 amounted to $ 506.29 million and turned out to be higher than payments on the principal amount of external debt for the specified period, which amounted to $ 130. 58 million. At the same time, only in November this year the receipt of new loans amounted to $ 249.83 million. Herewith, for 11 months of 2021, a negative value of fluctuations in the exchange rate of the US dollar against other currencies was registered, which amounted to $ 121.72 million, and as a result, in January-November 2021, the external public debt in dollar terms increased by $ 253.98 million (+11.33%) - up to $ 2 billion 495.4 million as of November 30, 2021.
