This was reported by the National Bureau of Statistics, noting that deflation was registered at the level of 0.78% in August last year, inflation in January-August 2020 was 0.05%, and annual inflation in August last year was 3.45 %. As noted in the NBM, consumer prices in August 2021 increased by an average of 0.33%, compared with the previous month, against the background of an increase in prices for non-food products - by 1.01%, as well as an increase in tariffs for services provided to the population, by 0.53%, while food prices also fell by 0.53%. According to official statistics, in particular, in August 2021, compared to the previous month, prices for the following food products increased: cucumbers - by 43.6%, chicken eggs - by 9.7%, fresh mushrooms - by 8.4%, citrus fruits - by 7.1%, grapes - by 5.5%, mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar - by 3.9%, cereals - by 3.1%, natural honey - by 2.1%, cottage cheese, whole milk - by 1.3% and 1.2%, respectively, meat, semi-finished meat products and canned meat - by 1% (in particular: pork - by 1.8%, poultry - by 1.6%, beef - by 1%). At the same time, in the reporting period, prices fell: watermelons and melons by 44.9%, potatoes - by 14.4%, stone fruits - by 13.2%, vegetables - by 5.7% (in particular: tomatoes - by 33.4%, root vegetables - by 27.1%, garlic - by 9%, cabbage, bell peppers, eggplants - by 6.8%, onions - by 6.2%). If we talk about non-food products, then in August 2021, compared to the previous month, an increase in prices was recorded for: flowers - by 13.7%, suits, jackets, dresses, jackets, jackets, children's vests (from 3 to 13 years inclusive) - by 11.2%, shoes for children (up to 13 years old inclusive) - by 8.6%, computers and other equipment for information processing - by 4.8%, coal - by 4.3%, stationery and goods for painting - by 3.7%, furniture and household appliances - by 3.6%, materials for repair and maintenance of the house - by 3.1%, liquefied gas in cylinders - by 3%, gasoline - by 0.5 %. Herewith, in the same reporting month, prices for diesel fuel decreased by 0.7%. Among the services provided to the population, in August 2021, compared with the previous month, there was an increase in prices for health services in sanatoriums - by 28.7%, insurance of transport - by 9.6%, services for the maintenance and repair of housing - by 8%, railway passenger transport services - by 4.6%, personal hygiene services - by 3.4%, medical services - by 1.5%, catering services - by 1.4%.
