
The third stage of consultations on the draft Black Sea Basin Joint Operational Program for 2021-2027 has started.
The Treasury Department announced public consultations under the third round of consultations as part of the program design process. By this stage, the Governing Body of the program and representatives of the participating countries, with the support of experts, have developed the first version of the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Policy Document 2021-2027. It provides information on eligible program scope and areas of action to be funded under the future program. The program will focus on two priorities: a "blue and smart" region through the development and strengthening of research and innovation capacity and the introduction of advanced technologies; An ecological and green region, through adaptation to climate change and prevention of possible disasters, promoting resilience, taking into account ecosystem approaches and improving the protection and conservation of nature, supporting biodiversity and ecological infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution. The draft Black Sea Basin Joint Operational Program for 2021-2027 is to be finalized and its final version will be approved after the budget for its implementation is allocated. The Ministry of Finance invites all interested parties (government agencies, regional development agencies, research and educational institutions, etc.) to take part in consultations on the project program, they are held until October 6. Within the framework of the first similar program, which was executed in 2007-2013, 60 projects were implemented; its budget was 35 million euros. The second Black Sea Basin Joint Operational Program for 2014-2020 is financed by the EU; its budget is 49 million euros. Within the framework of the program, 55 projects were selected for financing, of which 24 are at the stage of implementation, and 31 are at the stage of signing the contract. // 09.09.2021 – InfoMarket
