Stricter sanitary and epidemiological rules might be introduced in trade and in the HoReCa sector.
The Ministry of Economy held a meeting with representatives of the HoReCa industry, at which they discussed some possible new measures aimed at reducing the spread of coronavirus. They are aimed at personnel and clients of trading companies and catering establishments, commercial services, and recreation areas. According to the press service of the ministry, it is proposed that employees of institutions in these industries, as well as their clients, present a certificate of vaccination or a negative PCR test result made in 72 hours, or a negative antigen test result (48 hours). According to the decision of the administration, establishments that request these documents from their employees and guests will be recognized as COVID free. Otherwise, they will only be able to receive a limited number of visitors. The head of the department, Sergiu Gaibu, made some recommendations on expanding the operating mode of economic agents in order to reduce the risks of crowding in closed rooms. He also proposed to allow the sale of protective equipment at the entrance to shopping centers and markets. Gaibu urged business representatives to show maximum responsibility during the pandemic, as well as to inform their employees about the importance of vaccination against the coroanvirus. The Ministry of Economy clarified that these proposals are at the stage of discussion with the business before the department will present its proposals to the National Public Health Emergency Commission to reduce the risk of the spread of the pandemic. In turn, representatives of the business environment came up with some proposals for the authorities. In particular, they suggested that a contact person should be identified within the National Public Health Emergency Commission, with whom economic agents can clarify all the ambiguities associated with the imposed restrictions and rules. The business also proposed to study the possibility of supporting the business environment in the event of the application of restrictive measures that have a significant impact on economic agents. At the same time, representatives of the business environment welcomed the efforts of the authorities and their unwillingness to suspend or reduce the operating hours of enterprises in the field of trade and HoReCa. // 01.09.2021 - InfoMarket
