Poland will provide Moldova with comprehensive support to carry out economic and democratic reforms, modernize agriculture, fight corruption and create effective state institutions.
This was stated by the President of Poland Andrzej Duda after a meeting in Chisinau with the head of the Moldovan state, Maia Sandu. He noted Poland's readiness to provide Moldova with assistance in carrying out the necessary reforms for economic development, introducing democratic standards, strengthening the rule of law, fighting corruption, creating effective state institutions, ensuring regional development, etc. Andrzej Duda said that Poland has undergone tangible changes over the past decades, and it is ready to share with Moldova both the best experience gained and the negative one as well in order to avoid unnecessary mistakes in the future. In turn, President of Moldova Maia Sandu noted that the parties have good potential for cooperation in agricultural modernization, as well as for consolidating the exchange of best practices between local public authorities of Moldova and Poland at the level of provinces and Regional Development Agencies. During the current meetings with Andrzej Duda in a narrow and extended format, possible specific projects were discussed.
