According to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, in 2020 the free economic zones of Moldova attracted investments for $ 26.2 million, which is almost 27% less than in 2019 ($ 35.8 million). According to the calculations of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, in 2020, investments of $ 118.9 thousand fell per one resident, while the largest amount of investments per one resident fell on the Tvardita free trade zone ($ 207 thousand). The largest volume of investments (about 84% for the entire period of FEZ activity) as of January 1, 2021 was concentrated in three FEZs: Balti - 48.4% ($ 222.3 million), Ungheni-Business - 19.9% ($ 91.4 million) and Expo-Business-Chisinau - 16.1% ($ 73.7 million). The remaining 4 FEZ attracted much less investment: $ 24.8 million was invested in Valkanes (5.4%); $ 18.8 million - in Taraclia (4.1%); $ 19 million - to Tvardita (4.1%); $ 8.9 million - Otaci-Business (1,9%). // 11.05.2021 — InfoMarket
