In Moldova, the average selling prices of agricultural products by agricultural enterprises in the first quarter of 2021, compared to the same period in 2020, increased by 26.9%.

This was reported by the National Bureau of Statistics, noting that, at the same time, in January-March 2021, in comparison with the same period of the previous year, producer prices for crop products increased by an average of 29.4%. Herewith, producer prices rose most significantly for sunflower - by 60.6%, grain and leguminous crops - by 39.5%, soybeans - by 22.2%. Meanwhile, producer prices for field vegetables decreased by 35.3%, potatoes - by 20.8%, rapeseed - by 17.6%. At the same time, prices for livestock products in the first quarter of 2021, compared to the same period last year, increased by an average of 23.3%. In particular, sales prices for cattle and poultry (in live weight) increased by 25.7%, eggs - by 16.2%, milk - by 7.2%. The NBS data are presented for agricultural enterprises and peasant (farmer) households with a farmland area of 50 hectares or more (excluding data from enterprises and organizations on the left bank of the Dniester and Bender municipality) and reflect the dynamics of average prices based on the actual structure of their agricultural products sales.// 06.05.2021 — InfoMarket
