National Public Health Emergency Commission of Moldova approves key measures to prevent and control COVID-19 throughout the country.
According to the decision of the Commission, social distance and hand hygiene must be observed in all localities of the country, and a mask must be worn in open and closed public places, including in public transport. It is recommended not to be in public places (parks, forests, alleys, etc.) in groups of more than 3 people (with the exception of family members). Citizens over 63 are not recommended to leave the house and visit public places without an urgent need. All citizens and economic agents must strictly comply with the decisions of local emergency commissions. At the same time, in settlements in which more than 100 cases of coronavirus infection per 100 thousand population have been registered in the past 14 days (Covid-19 red code), local commissions must introduce public health emergency regime. The decision of the Commission contains the rules that trade enterprises must comply with, the requirements for religious cults and economic agents - the previously introduced restrictions will remain, except that the decision of the Commission does not stipulate restrictions on the time of their operation. Ministries and central authorities will work from 7.30 am to 4 pm, with a half-hour lunch break. Foreign and Moldovan citizens are allowed to enter Moldova if they have a negative PCR test for COVID-19, made no later than 72 hours before boarding or entering the territory of Moldova (for those traveling on their own transport). Persons who do not have the test are required to fill out an epidemiological card and sign a declaration on their own responsibility on compliance with the 14 day- self-isolation regime. One can interrupt the self-isolation / quarantine mode after 10 days by doing a PCR test for COVID-19 and getting a negative result. As before, there are exceptions, for example, people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 and have a vaccination certificate (in Romanian, English or Russian) will not be quarantined, as well as children under the age of 5; holders of diplomatic, service, service and special passports; persons transiting through Moldova on an agreed route, etc. The educational process will follow the scenarios previously established by the Ministry of Education, but in settlements where the red code is announced, remote learning will be the main option, with the exception of preschool education institutions. For primary school students, graduating classes, students of vocational schools and universities, a combined form of education can be organized. Depending on the development of the epidemiological situation, the approved measures may change. // 30.04.2021 – InfoMarket
