Premier Energy signes a new electricity purchase contract with the Moldovan HPP from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.

As noted in the message of Premier Energy, the contract was agreed with the transmission system operator Moldelectrica and sent for approval to the National Energy Regulatory Agency. Premier Energy stressed that the tender for the purchase of electricity, which began in February this year, was held in accordance with the Electricity Purchase Procedure, the Annex to the Electricity Market Rules, and the representatives of the Energy Community Secretariat were observers of the procurement process. As InfoMarket reported earlier, the Moldovan HPP was declared the winner of the tender for the supply of electricity to Premier Energy from April 1, 2021, since it has offered the best purchase price, which will be $0.0535 per kWh. As noted by the Premier Energy, this will allow the supplier to ensure the stability of the regulated price for the supply of electricity to end users in the current conditions of macroeconomic indicators. Under the previous contract, the state-owned company Energocom supplied electricity for Premier Energy at a price of $0.04865 per 1 kWh (excluding VAT). At the same time, it also supplied electricity from the Moldovan HPP. Thus, under the new contract, the cost of electricity produced by the Moldovan HPP and supplied to Premier Energy will increase by about 10%. // 30.01.2021 - InfoMarket.
