The deputies adopted a declaration of disagreement with the dissolution of the Moldovan parliament.
The document says that the dissolution of the highest legislative body at this stage will provoke a political, institutional, economic and social crisis. The deputies who signed the declaration disagree with the idea of dissolving the parliament, noting that, taking into account the provisions of the Constitution and the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Moldova, as well as the constant jurisprudence of the High Court in approving the government, all constitutional methods have not yet been used to unblock the situation around the appointment of a new government. The deputies drew attention to the fact that in the parliamentary republic, according to the Constitution, balanced relations between the parliament and the president should be maintained, and, in their opinion, the essence of the current constitutional crisis lies in the ambitions of the president of the country and, as a consequence, she is imputed to inaction, as well as decisions taken contrary to the spirit of the Constitution. Parliamentarians drew attention to the need to appoint a government capable of managing the pandemic crisis and strategic sectors of the national economy. They also pledged to make every effort to avoid the institutional deadlock caused by the lack of dialogue based on respect and diligence on the part of the President of Moldova. The declaration was adopted at the initiative of the Socialist Party of RM parliamentary faction with 54 votes. // 26.03.2021 — InfoMarket.
