The National Bureau of Statistics reported this, noting that deflation was 0.02% in February last year, inflation in January-February 2020 was 0.6%, and annual inflation in February last year was 6.41%. As noted by the NBM, consumer prices in February 2021 increased by an average of 0.38%, compared with the previous month, against the background of an increase in prices for food products - by 0.92% and for non-food products - by 0.79%, while the tariffs for services provided to the population decreased by 0.99%. According to official statistics, in particular, in February 2021, compared to the previous month, prices for the following food products increased: potatoes - by 6.8%, fresh vegetables - by 4.6% (in particular: cucumbers - by 12.8%, cabbage - by 11.6%, melons - by 7.3%, onions - by 5.4%), sunflower oil - by 2.8%, fresh fruits - by 1.6% (in particular, pome fruits - by 3.8%, citrus fruits - by 2.7%, exotic fruits - by 2.1%), whole milk - by 1.7%, sour cream and sugar - by 0.7%, cereals and cereals - by 0.6%, honey - by 0.4%. At the same time, prices for chicken eggs fell by 8.9% in the reporting period, grapes, nuts, tomatoes, frozen vegetables, fresh mushrooms, carbonated water and other soft drinks, fruit and vegetable juices, coffee, tea, chocolate and chocolate sweets, other confectionery products - up to 1.4%. As far as non-food products are concerned, then in February 2021, compared to the previous month, the prices for liquefied gas in cylinders, fuel, washing machines, detergents, medicines, cigarettes and other goods increased more significantly (up to 6.3%). At the same time, in the same reporting month, prices decreased slightly for: motorcycles, garden equipment, refrigerators and freezers, air conditioners, non-electrical appliances for personal hygiene, information processing equipment, cosmetics, coats, jackets, suits, sweaters for adults and children, winter footwear for adults and children - up to 3.6%. Among the services provided to the population, in February 2021, compared to the previous month, fees for travel services abroad increased by 0.7% and for passenger air transport services - by 0.3%.
