The Parliament of Moldova discusses at a plenary Thursday session the Program of the Government of the candidate for the post of Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita.
Speaking from the parliamentary rostrum, Natalia Gavrilita noted that she came to parliament with a very strong team of honest and incorruptible professionals who have plans for the development and modernization of Moldova. She said that her team can transform the country; it has an anti-corruption and anti-crisis program, a program for the development of Moldova, a program to support citizens. According to Natalia Gavrilita, the implementation of these programs requires the support of a parliamentary majority, and the country needs a new parliament, cleansed of corrupt officials and thieves. Natalia Gavrilita addressed the citizens, noting that the new government and its program should be supported by all citizens, and not just by MPs, many of whom have compromised themselves. She noted that the MPs sitting in parliament today do not represent the will of the people, and most of them vote for laws that generate enmity between people, vote for laws that only rob people and save MPs from prison. “The PAS team, like the citizens, is seeking the dissolution of this parliament and holding snap elections to form a new responsible parliament for the people, not for thieves. We need changes, but they must begin with cleaning up the parliament, and this is the first step in order to fulfill the wishes of citizens,” the candidate said. Natala Gavrilita noted that the Cabinet of Ministers she formed includes professionals who have made successful careers in international companies, have experience and knowledge, have demonstrated that they can succeed in private companies, and they are ready to work for the welfare of the country to improve the lives of its citizens. According to her, the program she elaborated is simple and includes actions to ensure modernization, economic development, preservation of old jobs and creation of new jobs, improvement of social protection measures, higher wages, and attraction of new investments. Natala Gavrilita said that if the new government she proposed is approved, the Cabinet will take over crisis management, purge state institutions to free them from corrupt persons, as well as to organize fair and free elections. According to her, in particular, the government intends to take immediate and firm decisions to overcome the crisis and will begin to cleanse state institutions of compromised and corrupt persons. The government will immediately appoint executives to responsible government positions in all ministries and other government agencies and appoint new territorial representatives. The authorities will urgently resume dialogue with citizens, social partners, business and producer associations, non-governmental and international organizations to address the problems of people in need of government assistance during the crisis. The candidate for Prime Minister noted that her proposed Anti-Crisis Package, containing a package of measures to support the population and the economy during the crisis, focuses on 5 priorities: effective management of the sanitary crisis caused by COVID-19; increasing incomes of the population and social protection of vulnerable groups; preserving jobs and supporting businesses, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises in the hardest hit sectors; local government support; mobilizing resources for a support package and unlocking external assistance. Natalia Gavrilita said that the Cabinet intends to resign immediately after solving urgent issues and achieving the set goals. In the newly formed government of Natalia Gavrilita there were proposed: for the post of Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration - Viorel Cibotaru, Minister of Finance - Rosalina Albu, Minister of Justice - Sergiu Litvinenco, Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment - Ion Luca, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection - Ala Nemerenco, Defense Minister - Anatolie Nosatii, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration - Mihai Popsoi, Minister of Internal Affairs - Anna Revenco, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure - Andrei Spinu, Minister of Education, Culture and Research - Anatol Topala. // 11.02.2021 - InfoMarket.
