Certificate of attestation as a VAT payer can be obtained online
The State Tax Service (STS) reported that VAT payers can request a confirmation document electronically. To do this, it is necessary to go to mcabinet.gov.md and obtain the relevant information in the section “Economic Activity” under the heading “Information on Legal Entity” through the state information systems online. The system will check whether the taxpayer is a VAT payer and, if yes, the button “Request certificate of attestation as a VAT payer” will become available according to the selected type of activity. After that the document will be displayed in the “My files” section in MCabinet. The certificate contains the following data: information on the issuing authority, number and date of issue, data on the taxpayer. The certificate is valid for one calendar year from the date of issue. The authenticity of the certificate, created in electronic format, can be checked by scanning a QR code on the document. In addition, taxpayers can ask the STS to certify the certificate - then the document issued in electronic format will be stamped “Corresponds to the original”. The STS also reminded that since September 12, the new form of the certificate of attestation as a VAT payer is applied. // 23.09.2024 - InfoMarket.
