The Chamber of Tax Consultants (CCF) has been set up and started its activity in Moldova.
The official opening of the organization, which will work under the logo-slogan "Transparency and compliance with tax legislation!" took place on Wednesday during the founding conference. It was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Customs Service, State Tax Service, National Social Insurance Fund, other organizations, specialized educational institutions and media. The Chamber will promote the formation of the profession of tax consultant, facilitate initial, continuous and/or additional training of specialists, conduct research and professional policy programs in the field, participate and conduct expertise in accordance with the current regulatory framework, etc. Ilie Nevmerjitchi, Chairman of the Chamber, noted in his speech that there are always inconsistencies in the rules of tax administration, which is also due to the fact that the public is not involved in the regulatory process directly related to the processes of tax administration. "The Chamber will respect the principle of equality, legality and transparency. Without pursuing political interests, we will endeavor to contribute to the improvement of the regulatory framework," the CCF Chairman said. Former Finance Minister Veronica Sireteanu, as an honorary member of the CCF, stressed that she had been dreaming about the creation of this organization in Moldova, whose analogue is in Romania, for more than 10 years. "We have many business associations, professional associations, but there was no specialized one for those who work in the tax field. Moreover, in discussions between associations and public authorities, the emphasis is most often on policies, in this case in the tax field, but tax administration procedures are not mentioned. I am confident that CCF will succeed in renewing and revitalizing cooperation on tax procedures with the relevant authorities," said the former Minister of Finance. Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CCF Sergiu Selevestru said that the idea of the Chamber was spontaneous and the new structure was founded by 5 former employees of the State Tax Service, who have more than 13 years of experience in various structures of the national tax authority. In turn, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Olga Golban emphasized that "the CCF has the task to build a team of people on the barricades who will engage in a dialog with the public to support the authorities in tax education." "We are confident that CCF will generate constructive criticism. I hope that together we will achieve good results, in particular in the realization of the country's taxation strategies in the process of aligning it with the EU directives," Olga Golban said. // 14.12.2023 - InfoMarket.
