
The State Tax Service recalled that individuals must pay real estate/land tax by June 30.
According to the Tax Code, before June 30, the full amount of tax must be paid by citizens and peasant / farm enterprises for existing or acquired real estate as of March 31 of the current year. In the case of real estate and land plots acquired after March 31 of the current year, the deadline for payment is March 25 of the year following the reporting year. The amount of real estate tax/land tax for individuals-citizens, as well as the amount of land tax in the case of peasant farms, is annually calculated by the local tax collection services that operate within the mayor's offices. Specific tax rates are annually approved by the local public authorities within the limits stipulated by Art. 280 of the Tax Code. So, according to the data published on the website of the State Tax Service, for 2023 the lowest tax rates for residential real estate (estimated) are set in the villages of Ermoclia, Olanesti, Semionovca (Stefan-Voda district) - 0.01%, in the city of Cupcini ( Edinet district) - 0.09%, in the city of Vadul lui Voda (Chisinau municipality) - 0.05%, and the highest rate - 0.5% - is set in 5 settlements: Pelinei village of the Cahul district, Banesti (Telenesti district), Hirbovat (Anenii Noi district), Alunis village (Riscani district) and Corjeuți village (Briceni district). The tax rate on assessed residential real estate in 2023 in the cities of Orhei, Vulcanesti and Soroca is 0.1%, in Cahul and Comrat - 0.16%, in Ceadir-Lunga - 0.125%, in Edinet - 0.175%, in Chisinau 0.185 %, in Balti - 0.2%, in Donduseni - 0.23%, in Briceni - 0.3%, in Ungheni - 0.31%, in Taraclia - 0.4%, etc. You can pay the tax online, in banks or at Poșta Moldovei branches.
