According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in particular, about 2/3 of the objects were apartments - 1639, which is 74.8% less than a year earlier, when 6507 apartments were put into operation. Also decreased (-27.4%) the number of individual residential buildings put into operation - 545 against 668 a year earlier. About 88% of residential properties are located in Chisinau. The total area of housing put into operation in Chisinau municipality, amounted to 187.1 thousand square meters, which is 64.2% less than in 2021. About 64% of the area was for apartments (119.2 thousand sq. m), 36% - for individual residential buildings (67.9 thousand sq. m). At the same time, compared to 2021, the area of individual houses decreased by 14.3%, and apartments - by 73%. The main residential areas commissioned are located in the municipality. Herewith, according to the NBS, in 2022, 1,311 permits were issued for the construction of residential and non-residential buildings in Chisinau, which is 29.6% less than in the previous year. In particular, more than 85% of permits were issued for the construction of residential buildings - 1118, which is 33.8% less than in the previous year. 193 permits were issued for the construction of non-residential buildings (14.73% of the total), which is 12.2% more than in the previous year.
