
In Moldova, excise taxes on imports of petroleum products will increase in 2022 and in 2023.
This is provided for by amendments to the appendix to the Tax Code, which the parliament adopted in the first reading as part of a general bill on amendments to the Law on the Oil Products Market and other documents. In particular, it was stipulated that the new rate of excise tax on imported benzene, toluene, xylene for use as fuel, on a mixture of aromatic hydrocarbons, natural gas condensate, light and middle distillates and products in 2022 will amount to 7092 lei (+0.15%) per ton instead of the previously approved rate of 7082 lei per ton, and in 2023 - 7729 lei (0.13%) per ton instead of 7719 lei. At the same time, the excise rate on gas oils, including diesel and heating oil, liquid fuel with a sulfur content, in 2022 will amount to 2990 lei (+ 0.33%) per ton instead of the previously approved 2980 lei, and in 2023 - 3258 lei (+ 0.31%) per ton instead of 3248 lei. Herewith, the excise rate for propane, butane, ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadiene, and other liquefied gases in 2022 is planned to be set at the level of 3987 lei (+ 1%) per ton instead of the previously approved 3947 lei, and in 2023 - 4184 lei (+ 1%) per ton instead of 4144 lei. // 24.12.2021 — InfoMarket.
