The local fee for sanitary cleaning in Chisinau municipality for 2021 is to be paid by November 30.
This is provided for by the draft Regulation on the procedure for administering the local fee for sanitary cleaning in the Chisinau municipality, which the capital mayor's office has submitted for public consultations. This regulation establishes the basic rules for accounting for subjects and objects of taxation, the taxable base, the procedure for calculating, paying and granting benefits for this local tax, as well as the basic principles of its administration. According to the project, administration of this fee, accounting and monitoring of tax subjects will be provided by the Department of Local Taxes and Fees as part of the Chisinau City Hall, based on information about each individual with / without ownership of real estate, received from the Population Register and Registration (Public Services Agency). It is envisaged that the amount of the fee will be calculated annually for each individual whose place of residence / stay is registered in the municipality of Chisinau. This fee will be deducted to the local budget of Chisinau, and in case of non-payment for each day of delay defaulters will be charged a penalty. It is stipulated that the notification of tax obligations for this local fee is carried out by means of a standard payment notification sent to taxpayers no later than 15 days before the deadline for payment, which is determined by the decision of the municipal council. It is worth noting that in December 2020, the Chisinau Municipal Council, when approving the rates of local fees for 2021, approved the application of the fee for sanitary cleaning. According to the decision of the municipal council, the amount of the fee will be 10 lei per subject; the due date for payment of this fee is November 30, 2021. Benefits are provided for some categories such as: minors, pensioners, socially vulnerable categories of the population - persons with severe and severe disabilities are exempt from paying this fee, disabled children, persons with average disabilities (participants in hostilities to protect the territorial integrity and independence of Moldova, hostilities in Afghanistan, liquidation of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant).
