From May 1, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products supplied to the Transnistrian region are subject to consumer labeling.
In this regard, the State Tax Service recommends interested taxpayers to take the necessary steps in advance to obtain consumer brands in the Information Technology Center in the field of finance, in accordance with the established procedures. It is noted that stamps should be applied in specially designated places. The design of consumer brands was approved by order of the Ministry of Finance in early February. The main elements of the label have not changed: the excise / consumer stamp for alcohol and tobacco products is printed on special paper, has a certain size, contains mandatory inscriptions, including the name of the site where you can check product identification, security elements and a holographic strip; each excise / consumer stamp is printed with a barcode, etc. Recall that at the end of 2020, amendments were made to the legislation, according to which, from May 1, 2021, alcoholic products and tobacco products imported into the territory of Moldova and intended for consumption in the territory not controlled by the constitutional authorities must be marked with a special consumer brand, with the exception of some goods (sparkling wines, divins in souvenir bottles with a capacity of up to 0.25 l and a capacity of 1.5 l, 3 l and 6 l; alcoholic products with an ethyl alcohol content of up to 7% by volume and beer; undenatured ethyl alcohol, used for medical purposes). // 17.03.2021 — InfoMarket.
